Wet Room Glass Panels

Custom wet room glass panels at direct prices

Tired of mopping up splashes? For most wet rooms, a one-size-fits-all screen won’t do the job. The best answer is a custom-made glass panel that fits your space. At Toughened Glass Direct, we focus on custom glass for smaller home projects, like wet room glass panels.

We’re bringing you high-specification panels at prices that make sense. Ideal for a compact en-suite, family bathroom, or a walk-in shower area, our made-to-measure products will keep your bathroom bright and easy to clean.

We can provide an accurate fit, especially for wet rooms where floor levels and drainage slopes aren’t perfectly square. Don’t force a standard screen into a nonstandard gap: commission your very own wet room glass screen.

Why choose wet room glass panels?

1. No more grout scrubbing!

Ask anyone what they hate most about their bathroom, and cleaning the shower will likely be up there. Non-standard shower enclosures have no shortage of nooks where limescale loves to hide. Wet room glass panels take away these problem areas. With a single, flat surface to wipe down, maintenance takes thirty seconds or less.

2. Keep splashes under control

If your bathroom floor is flooded with water after every shower, something is failing. Trade a flimsy shower curtain for a wet room glass screen, and you can screen off the main shower area from the rest of your bathroom.

3. Accessibility

With wet room glass, there’s no high-step or ‘trip hazard’ shower tray to get around. Our made-to-measure panels provide level-access showering, which is excellent for families with kids and multi-generational homes.

Why go direct with us?

Where other suppliers focus on expensive, large-scale balustrade systems that cost thousands of pounds, we make life straightforward. At Toughened Glass Direct, our bespoke wet room glass panels are much simpler to buy.

1. Price transparency

Our direct-to-consumer model means that we focus on the glass itself: just well-made panels, manufactured for real homes. Everyone should have access to trade-quality glass, regardless of their budget, so we offer toughened safety glass at prices that make sense for the everyday homeowner.

2. Precision customisation for DIY

Standard sizes have limitations. If your wet room layout is just 5mm off, a standard 800mm screen will look awkward with oversized seals, or simply won’t fit. Going direct means you aren’t limited to what’s in stock.

Our precision-cut glass is tailored to your specific measurements, which means no issues with sloping ceilings, narrow alcoves, or non-standard floor levels, and much less water spilling onto your floor.

3. Every order matters

Where some manufacturers only want the big-ticket commercial fit-outs, we’ve built our business around the small pieces. At Toughened Glass Direct, we treat every order with the same level of care, regardless if you’re ordering a single small panel or a complete wet room set.

FAQs

Wet room glass panels help to reduce splashing, but they usually won’t stop every bit of water from leaving the shower area. Walk-in shower spaces are more open than fully enclosed cubicles, so some splash-out is still possible depending on:

– Size of the panel
– Position of the shower
– Water pressure
– General layout

For smaller bathrooms where space is tight, we often recommend adding a flipper panel: this is usually a section of glass attached to the end of your main screen (usually 200-300mm) that can be angled inward to catch redirected spray.

Absolutely – without the metal tracks, rollers, and plastic seals or traditional framed enclosures, all that’s needed is a simple wipe-down. A 10-second swipe with a squeegee will stop minerals in the water from drying onto the surface.

Yes, and this is exactly why customers choose us! When your space is slightly irregular, or you’re trying to fit a panel under a sloping eave or into a tight corner, standard sizes won’t work. You need a made-to-measure option for a millimetre-perfect fit.

Yes. In most wet room set-ups, glass panels can be installed directly onto a tiled and tanked wet room floor, and some can also be fitted onto a large shower tray.

Toughened glass cannot be cut or trimmed once it has been through the tempering process: this is why it’s so important to provide us with accurate measurements.

You should measure the width of the area you want to screen, check how much splash coverage you need, and allow for any wall profile adjustment, support bar or return panel (if one is being used).
